New pattern: Crocus Shawlette

I have a new shawl pattern available on Ravelry: Crocus Shawlette. This is a top-down narrow crescent worked at a looser gauge to be light and airy. Designed in collaboration with Mira from Baah! yarns (right now Baah! is available only at select LYSs in southern CA), but any fingering weight sock yarn will work with this pattern.
Mira dyes all the Baah! yarns and she used a beautiful silver gray for her shawl sample.

The pattern contains 4 sizes and uses written instructions.

In other news, I've been continuing to feel better and better, and 3 days ago I took myself grocery shopping! Yes, GROCERY SHOPPING. (If you wonder why this is a big deal, read this post.) I drove myself to Whole Foods, got a cart, and walked slowly up and down a couple aisles. Got some salad fixins', jumbo cherries, and lovely healthy snacks (no champagne, but the yummy food was celebration enough). I have not been grocery shopping myself for over a year.

It's great to be back in the land of the living.

  1. So great to hear of your Whole Foods excursion! And another gorgeous design - thanks for sharing.

  2. Yay Rose! Yay healthy snacks! So glad you are feeling better. :-D
