New pattern: Forgotten Garden Shawl

Presenting the lovely Forgotten Garden Shawl, now available for purchase here on Ravelry, or if you don't mind a little wait, soon to be available free with La Douce yarn purchase from Biscotte & Cie (you can contact Louise on Ravelry for details). La Douce is a yummy, squishy heavy fingering MCN that reminds me of The Sanguine Gryphon Bugga!.

This very large, very red La Douce sample was knit by haramis, reportedly while she listened to Jane Austen audiobooks. Note: I would not recommend that you try this at home unless you are 1) an experienced knitter and 2) somewhat familiar with the writing style of Jane Austen. I personally am not the world's biggest Jane Austen fan, but it's mainly because I can't seem to wrap my head around her language.

And, because I just love looking at this stitch pattern, below is a photo from missdaisy of her shawl knit from Skinny Bugga! in Cuban Cockroach.
